Being
open-minded, it will positively affect the business in both short term and long
term. Culture is the most
fundamental way a business approaches its work. It is both hard and soft: the
attitude to the way you do work and the structures and processes that surround
it, and in the current environment, it should be considered a priority for
leadership. A successful entrepreneur should possess trait of open culture.
Firstly, entrepreneur should learn to engage and share the company
goals with the employees as well as good news or bad news. Open communication
will create a culture of openness in the organization and this can contribute
to employees may become more engaged in the success of the business. Datuk
sosilawati had always seen herself as someone who is open to bad news and
transparent both in business and personal life. She was taught to be
independent and began to mix with friends who engaged in the business of
cosmetics and beauty and found it was a good business until she finally worked on
beauty products Nouvelle Visage (NV).
Secondly, entrepreneur shall also choose the
right team. One
needs to put together a genuine and focused group at the top of the business so
to make change happen. A team who invests effort in collective success and
effort in making the team itself work effectively. Datuk Sosilawati was
famously known for not having high educational SPM but merely that she was
willing to start from scratch and with the help of her strong team she managed
to maintain her business.
